'Digital Evolution: What Can Gaming Teach Us About Where Life Came From and Where It's Heading?'

Digital Evolution (free Skinny event this weekend)

As part of the UNESCO City of Literature series of events around the release of The Lost World this month, The Skinny is hosting an event of its own:

'Digital Evolution: What Can Gaming Teach Us About Where Life Came From and Where It's Heading?'

7pm, Saturday 7 February (1hr 15 mins)
Out of the Blue Drill Hall, 30-38 Dalmeny Street, off Leith Walk, Edinburgh

Panelists will discuss the crossover (or lack of) between digital representations of life and our understanding of the real thing. In a world of looming virtual realities and cloning, these are big questions. On the panel are award-winning science fiction author Ken MacLeod, synthetic biologist Alistair Elfick, and genomics expert Steve Sturdy.

Tickets are FREE, to book a place just email evolution@theskinny.co.uk

There's even a free drink on arrival.
